The atmosphere of the Apsara Spa is inspired by the romantic tales of the relationship between Indonesia and Cambodia hundreds of years back, whereas the treatments are inspired by the serene, heavenly beauty of the Apsara goddess dancers (see explanation of Apsaras under the Apsara Suite above). The Apsara Spa is an oasis of peace, a heaven on earth secluded from the outer world.
One of the various signature treatments at the Apsara Spa is an indulging massage that combines the dance performed by the Apsara dancers (Yin), and a stronger deep tissue massage (Yang) from ancient Java. We strongly recommend the 'Day Dream in Angkor': a thorough 4-hour, romantic treatment for two that uses various natural exotic herbs, traditional spices and local exotic flowers, including a complete aromatherapy which historically could only be performed exclusively for the main royal family. This romantic treatment can also include a private gourmet dinner or lunch at the Tirta Gangga Dining Room.
